AMRC Integrated Manufacturing Group
The AMRC Integrated Manufacturing Group is a specialist research division within the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre. It focuses on the transition from manual to automated processes in the aerospace sector, addressing the technical barriers to high-precision robotic assembly. By developing modular cells and reconfigurable tooling, the group enables manufacturers to integrate robotics into complex environments where traditional fixed automation is economically or physically impractical.
