CONSULTING

One consulting section: the portal, the bench and our own practice

Everything consulting now lives here. Use the tabs to see what we offer, exactly how an engagement runs for clients and practitioners, and who is currently on the bench — consultants, engineers, auditors, domain experts, academics and retired practitioners, from aviation and from adjacent sectors. Registration, the bottleneck board and the agreements stay one click away.

Free tool · Bottleneck triage

What is actually blocking you?

AI-assisted triage, reviewed by the desk before any engagement is proposed.

Describe the blockage in about five lines. The desk returns the situation it resembles, the approvals or roles usually needed to clear it, and the engagement that fits. Civil aviation and aerospace only.

TWO SEPARATE OFFERINGS — PLEASE READ FIRST

Aerospace Garage Limited does two distinct things here

They are run separately, entered separately and contracted separately. Pick the one that matches what you need — you are never enrolled in the other by accident.

OFFERING A — PLATFORM

The Consulting Portal

A digital, collaborative consulting platform operated by Aerospace Garage Limited.

Verified practitioners and companies register their credentials; companies post anonymised programme bottlenecks; the platform matches the two and introduces them privately. Here Aerospace Garage Limited acts as the operator, verifier and contracting intermediary of the marketplace — not as the technical author of the work.

Who it is for:
consultants seeking work, and companies seeking vetted expertise on demand.
Contract:
two separate agreements — one with the consultant, one with the client company.
Entry point:
register, browse the bench, or post a bottleneck.

OFFERING B — OUR OWN PRACTICE

Aerospace Garage Consulting Services

Engagements scoped, contracted and delivered by Aerospace Garage Limited itself.

Certification and compliance, industrialisation and supply base, maintenance and fleet, training and safety, programme assurance and market or investment advisory. Here Aerospace Garage Limited is the consultant of record and carries accountability for the deliverable, whoever it puts on the team.

Who it is for:
organisations that want a defined deliverable, date and fee.
Contract:
a single agreement with Aerospace Garage Limited.
Entry point:
request a scoped proposal.

In one line: the Consulting Portal is the platform where consultants and companies meet under Aerospace Garage Limited's verification and contracts; Aerospace Garage Consulting Services is the separate practice where Aerospace Garage Limited is itself the contracted consultant. Both are operated by Aerospace Garage Limited, licensed in Masdar City Free Zone, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

THE ENGAGEMENT, STEP BY STEP

Who does what, in what order

Before any engagement — the bench

Practitioners enrol privately. AI proposes capability tags from the CV; the practitioner confirms; Aerospace Garage verifies against certificates and references. Only then does a reference tag appear on the bench. No cost to the practitioner.

Common questions

Who am I contracting with?
Aerospace Garage Limited, licensed in the Masdar City Free Zone, Abu Dhabi. One contract covers confidentiality, intellectual property and liability; you never manage a contractor relationship.
How is a specialist matched to my problem?
Your brief is matched against the verified bench on approvals held, platform, phase, region, language and availability. You see anonymised cards; a practitioner's identity is never disclosed to a client. Where your site security requires a name for access, Aerospace Garage provides it to that security office under its non-disclosure agreement, outside the engagement.
What does an engagement cost?
Every engagement is scoped first and priced per milestone in the written proposal you accept — no payment is due for work you have not accepted. Describe your constraint and we return a scope note as soon as we can.
How is payment handled?
Deposit, each milestone and the final balance are invoiced in USD through Stripe, by card or bank transfer. The deposit is refundable in full if no expert is confirmed within ten working days.
Do you take defence work?
No. Aerospace Garage Limited works on civil aviation and aerospace only, and declines defence, weapons and military requests in writing.

OFFERING A — CONSULTING PORTAL (PLATFORM)

A bench of practitioners, a board of blockages, and two signed contracts

The Consultant Bench

Anonymised, opt-in entries only. A reference code shows country of location, qualification domains, approvals held, length of experience, work and project types, and availability. The practitioner's floor rate is held by Aerospace Garage only. Name, city, employer history, curriculum vitae and contact details are withheld from visitors and clients. Where a client's site security requires a name for access, Aerospace Garage provides it to that security office under its non-disclosure agreement, outside the engagement.

Browse the anonymised bench →

The Bottleneck Board

Companies post where a programme is stuck in one anonymised paragraph under their reference code — no company name, no technical content, redacted with the poster before anything appears. Practitioners answer under their own reference code; we make the introduction privately, and a post can be withdrawn by us with the reason recorded.

See open bottlenecks →

Signed, both sides

Aerospace Garage Limited signs one agreement with the consultant and a separate agreement with the client. Each signature records the version, a fingerprint of the exact clauses accepted, the signatory and the timestamp.

The agreements are not published. Each is issued privately for signature through the engagement room once an engagement is formally approved by all stakeholders.

ENGAGEMENT MODEL

Four stages, one accountable party

  1. 01

    Scope

You describe the objective and the constraint. We return a written scope naming the deliverable, the dates, the named practitioners and the price — or we decline and say why.

  2. 02

    Contract

One contract, with Aerospace Garage. Confidentiality, intellectual property and liability sit in a single agreement. You never manage a contractor relationship.

  3. 03

    Deliver

We assemble the practitioners whose verified record matches the work, run the engagement to the agreed milestones and remain accountable for the deliverable.

  4. 04

    Close

Handover with the evidence trail the authority, customer or board will ask for, plus an implementation review at an agreed interval after close.

EXAMPLE ENGAGEMENTS

Fixed fee per milestone, scope approved before any price

Delivered by verified practitioners under the Consulting Portal's fixed-fee, scope-first process; Aerospace Garage Limited is the contracting counterparty. Describe your constraint and we return a scope note as soon as we can.

Programme Health Check

Independent read on schedule, supply chain, airworthiness and the one constraint actually binding an aircraft, engine or space programme, with a recovery plan the board can act on.

WHAT IT COVERS

  • · Review of the baseline schedule, critical path and earned-value or milestone evidence
  • · Interviews with programme, engineering, quality and supply-chain leads
  • · Airworthiness and certification-evidence status against the target approval
  • · Tier 1 / Tier 2 supplier risk screen on the binding work packages
  • · Ranked findings, root cause and a sequenced corrective plan

YOU RECEIVE: Written findings report, risk ranking, corrective sequence, and a sponsor read-out.

WHAT MOVES THE QUOTE

  • · Number of sites and whether travel or on-site presence is required
  • · Programme size, number of work packages and suppliers in scope
  • · Aircraft, engine or space domain and the certification basis (EASA, FAA, GCAA, or national equivalent)
  • · Volume and quality of existing schedule, cost and quality data
  • · Access constraints: export control, ITAR, security clearance, NDA regime
  • · Whether a follow-on recovery mandate or governance retainer is anticipated
Submit a bottleneck

Independent Programme Governance

Standing PgMP-led assurance over a live aviation or aerospace programme: gate reviews, certification-risk challenge, escalation discipline and a monthly written opinion to the sponsor.

WHAT IT COVERS

  • · Chairing or independently attending gate and design reviews
  • · Monthly written opinion to the sponsor or board, signed by the practice lead
  • · Challenge of certification, airworthiness and supplier-risk positions
  • · Escalation route for issues the programme cannot resolve internally

YOU RECEIVE: Monthly signed governance opinion plus gate-review minutes and an issue register.

WHAT MOVES THE QUOTE

  • · Programme value and number of gates or reviews per month
  • · Meeting cadence and whether attendance is remote or on site
  • · Number of stakeholder organisations (OEM, operator, lessor, authority, financier)
  • · Reporting audience — sponsor only, board, or external investors and lenders
  • · Minimum retainer term (three, six or twelve months)
Submit a bottleneck

Programme Recovery Direction

Hands-on direction of a slipping aircraft or space programme: re-baselining, supplier recovery, critical-path control and weekly sponsor reporting until the plan holds.

WHAT IT COVERS

  • · Re-baselining of schedule, scope and cost against what is achievable
  • · Supplier recovery plans negotiated and tracked line by line
  • · Critical-path control with a weekly published position
  • · Weekly sponsor reporting until the re-baselined plan holds for four consecutive weeks

YOU RECEIVE: Re-baselined plan, supplier recovery register, weekly reports and a closing statement.

WHAT MOVES THE QUOTE

  • · Depth of the slip and how many work packages are off baseline
  • · Number of suppliers requiring renegotiation and their locations
  • · Whether a full-time or part-time on-site presence is required
  • · Duration — recovery beyond twelve weeks is priced monthly at the day rate
  • · Contractual exposure: liquidated damages, delivery penalties, financing covenants
Submit a bottleneck

Decision Sprint

One aviation or aerospace question — market entry, fleet, supplier, certification — answered against evidence, with a board-ready recommendation and a named signatory behind it.

WHAT IT COVERS

  • · Framing session to fix the single decision being made
  • · Evidence assembly from platform registers, primary sources and targeted calls
  • · Options with costs, risks and a stated recommendation
  • · One board-ready read-out and a follow-up Q&A session

YOU RECEIVE: Decision memorandum with recommendation, signed by the practice lead.

WHAT MOVES THE QUOTE

  • · Whether more than one decision is in scope (each additional question is quoted separately)
  • · Number of expert or counterparty interviews required
  • · Geography and language of the evidence base
  • · Turnaround shorter than two weeks
Submit a bottleneck

Supplier & Target Diligence

Capability, AS9100/quality-system, capacity and ownership diligence on a named aerospace supplier or acquisition target, with a go / no-go opinion.

WHAT IT COVERS

  • · Capability and capacity assessment against the intended work package
  • · AS9100 / EN9100 and approval-status verification, including NADCAP where relevant
  • · Ownership, control and sanctions-exposure screen

YOU RECEIVE: Diligence brief per target closing with a go / no-go opinion.

WHAT MOVES THE QUOTE

  • · Number of targets and whether a site audit is required
  • · Country of the target and availability of public filings
  • · Depth of financial review requested
  • · Whether the opinion must be addressed to a lender or investment committee
Submit a bottleneck

Market Entry Pack

Demand, competition, airworthiness regulation, partners and a costed route into a named aviation or space market — including warm introductions to screened counterparties.

WHAT IT COVERS

  • · Demand and competitive picture for the named segment and country
  • · Airworthiness and operating-approval path with the responsible authority named
  • · Partner and distributor shortlist, screened for ownership and sanctions
  • · Costed entry route with first-year operating assumptions
  • · Warm introductions to screened counterparties

YOU RECEIVE: Entry pack, approvals roadmap, partner shortlist and an introductions schedule.

WHAT MOVES THE QUOTE

  • · Number of countries or segments in scope
  • · Complexity of the local approvals regime and whether a local partner is mandatory
  • · Whether in-country meetings, travel or interpretation are required
  • · Whether the pack must be investor- or lender-grade
Submit a bottleneck

Expert Call

A scheduled hour with the practice lead on a specific aerospace programme, market or governance question.

WHAT IT COVERS

  • · Sixty scheduled minutes with the practice lead
  • · A short written note after the call summarising the position taken
  • · Call price credited against a full engagement commissioned within 30 days

YOU RECEIVE: Post-call note.

WHEN A PRICE CANNOT BE PUBLISHED

Some work cannot honestly be priced before the requirement is known. In those cases the price is built from the required effort and settled against these factors, all of them stated in the written proposal so nothing appears later on the invoice:

  • · Scope: the number of programmes, sites, suppliers or countries covered
  • · Seniority and number of practitioners the work genuinely needs
  • · Duration and the pace demanded — compressed timetables carry a premium
  • · Travel, visas, on-site days and any security or export-control clearance
  • · Data availability: whether records exist, and in what condition and language
  • · Audience of the deliverable — internal, board, authority, lender or investor
  • · Liability and assurance level, including any signed opinion or reliance letter
  • · Third-party costs passed through at cost: data licences, travel, translation, local counsel

FOR CONSULTANTS

Register your professional record

We invite experienced practitioners to register: qualifications and awarding bodies, certifications, licences and authorisations, approvals or post-holder roles held, disciplines and platforms, employment history, notable programmes, availability and your floor rate, held by Aerospace Garage only. Registration takes three minutes with structured fields only — no curriculum vitae. We ask for a curriculum vitae and certificates later, only when an engagement is being scoped for you.

Your record is private. It is never published or browsable, and we approach you only when a scoped engagement matches what you actually did. You decline anything you do not want.

Aviation practitioners, engineers, technicians, auditors, finance modellers, software and IT specialists, instructors — retired, between chapters, or at the top of your trade. If your experience serves civil aviation, Join the bench.

FOR COMPANIES

Register capability, or commission work

Design offices, production organisations, maintenance shops, training organisations and specialist suppliers register their capability the same way: approvals held, quality accreditations with certificate references, disciplines, platforms, reference contracts and commercial terms, with a capability statement attached.

If instead you need work delivered, describe the objective and the constraint. We come back with a written scope naming the deliverable, the dates and the price — or we tell you plainly that we cannot help.

REPRESENTATIVE ENGAGEMENTS

The situations clients bring to us

Certification submission stalled

Findings are not closing, the certification basis is contested, or the means of compliance was never agreed. Time passes and the authority is waiting on you.

CLEARED BY: Former DOA signatories · cert plan authors · findings-closure leads

Supplier cannot hold rate

A tier-two shop committed to a rate it cannot reach. The recovery plan needs someone who has run an industrialisation ramp, not another audit.

CLEARED BY: Industrialisation leads · supplier quality auditors · rate-readiness engineers

MRO slot unobtainable

Shop visits are quoted beyond your check window, or turnaround has overrun twice. The fix is usually planning and scope discipline, not a new vendor.

CLEARED BY: Base maintenance planners · shop managers · CAMO post-holders

Type-rating pipeline dry

Aircraft are arriving faster than crews and engineers are being qualified. Instructor supply, device availability and course approval all sit on the critical path.

CLEARED BY: Training organisation post-holders · course developers · examiners

Audit finding unresolved

A regulator, customer or registrar finding is open past its response date, and the corrective action keeps being rejected as insufficient.

CLEARED BY: Former auditors · quality post-holders · remediation leads

Entry into service slipping

The date is now at risk and nobody can say which dependency is driving it. What is needed is someone who has taken an aircraft into service before.

CLEARED BY: EIS programme managers · technical acceptance leads · fleet introduction teams

WHY THIS SITS INSIDE AEROSPACE GARAGE

The practice is fed by the platform. The Constraint Radar forecasts where industry capacity jams next, with the method and the falsifier stated. The Exposure Graph traces which suppliers, shops and training pipelines are exposed when a programme slips. The Business Directory holds the verified supply base an engagement will touch. Consulting is where that evidence is turned into delivered work.

SCOPE

Civil aviation and aerospace work only

Engagements are accepted where the work relates to civil certification, civil operations, civil maintenance, civil manufacturing or civil space activity, assessed against the applicable certification basis. Where a programme covers more than one application, we consider only the civil element and say so in the scope. If a requirement falls outside that boundary we decline it, and we tell you why rather than leaving the enquiry unanswered.
