- Firefly Alpha
Firefly Alpha is a two-stage, small-to-medium lift orbital launch vehicle built by Firefly Aerospace for dedicated and rideshare delivery of small satellites. It carries roughly one tonne to low Earth orbit and about 630 kg to sun-synchronous orbit, using carbon-composite structures and Firefly's in-house Reaver and Lightning kerosene/liquid-oxygen engines. Alpha flies from Space Launch Complex 2 West at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, serving commercial constellation operators, civil space agencies and research payloads that need a schedule of their own rather than a slot on a larger rocket.
