MAB Academy, the training subsidiary of Malaysia Aviation Group, is modernizing its instructional framework through a new partnership with CPaT Global. Under this agreement, the academy will deploy digital distance learning solutions for initial and recurrent pilot training. The curriculum is specifically designed to support flight crews operating the diverse fleets of Malaysia Airlines and its subsidiary, Firefly, which include Boeing 737, Airbus A330, Airbus A350, and ATR 72 aircraft types.

This transition toward cloud-based training reflects a strategic effort to enhance operational efficiency and reduce the logistical burden of ground-based instruction. By integrating these specialized digital courses, MAB Academy can provide its pilots with flexible, remote access to critical safety and technical modules. This investment in scalable training technology allows Malaysia Aviation Group to maintain high safety standards while optimizing the scheduling and costs associated with maintaining type ratings for a large, multi-platform pilot workforce.

What to watch: Expansion of CPaT software modules to include regional turboprop specific training for Firefly.
