Aeroberm and Partners to Deploy Modular Vertiport Network in Middle East

Two infrastructure firms have signed an agreement to develop and install a network of modular vertiports to support electric vertical take-off and landing operations across the Middle East.

The partnership aims to address the critical shortage of ground infrastructure by providing scalable, prefabricated landing sites. By focusing on modularity, the developers intend to reduce the high capital expenditure and lengthy construction timelines typically associated with permanent aviation facilities. These sites are designed to be integrated into existing urban environments or remote logistics hubs, facilitating the rapid adoption of electric aircraft for both passenger and cargo transport.

This initiative reflects a strategic shift toward flexible infrastructure in the Gulf's emerging air mobility sector. As regional regulators move toward certifying electric air taxis, the availability of standardized charging and docking stations becomes a primary bottleneck. The modular approach allows for incremental network expansion, enabling operators to test routes without committing to large-scale fixed assets. This development is expected to accelerate the timeline for commercial advanced air mobility services in the region's major metropolitan areas.

What to watch: The announcement of specific site locations and local municipal approvals for modular installations.
