Advanced air mobility certification timelines slip again

Type certification dates for the leading eVTOL programmes have moved right by roughly a year on average. The less-discussed problem is the operating rule: certifying the aircraft does not create the airspace procedures, vertiport standards or pilot licensing framework the business case depends on.

Mid-market regulators watching the FAA and EASA are unlikely to move first, which pushes commercial service in those markets further still.
